Following an impressive individual performance for Castleton s men s cross country team in the Castleton Invitational, freshman Grandon Smith has been named the North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week.

The Castleton men s cross country returns to action this Sunday when they host the Castleton Invitational with the men s race beginning at 11 am.

The Spartans men s cross country team opened their season by earning an eighth place finish at the Mayflower Kickoff Meet hosted by New England College.

This year the Castleton men's and women's cross country teams are getting involved with the homecoming weekend, sponsoring the Castleton Homecoming 5K Color Run on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 10 am.

The Castleton men's cross country team was recently picked fifth in the North Atlantic Conference Preseason Poll in a vote of the conference's coaches.

The Castleton men s cross country team looks to continue its positive strides after a third place finish at the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championships last season.
